Hi,

I just own an MSI GP70 2PE-216XFR Leopard computer but I can't install Gentoo on it.
Reason behind is, its Ethernet card is a Qualcomm Atheros Killer E220x which is not recognized by install-x86-minimal-20141209.iso ... consequently, no network.

Any tip to activate the network ?

Thanks

Laurent

Well, here is what I would do. I would look up in kernel what cards are supported by ALX driver ... alright I did look it up for you. Here they are: 1969:1091, 1969:1090, 1969:10A1 and 1969:10A0. If I had one of these I would assume a good live distro has support for it. I always have latest SystemRecueCD USB stick in my pocket, so I would use this to install Gentoo.

I'm currently (slowly) download latest Gentoo liveCD, hopping this card or the Intel Wireless 3160 is supported ...

SytemRescueCD is smaller download and has much better odds with your wired card (you didn't let us know whether you have a Linux kernel supported NIC), it also has much better wireless support. But choice is yours ...
