USB Keyboard

OK so here's the issue i'm having. I installed gentoo using my USB keyboard but once i tried to boot into the actual system it would hand while initialized the USB. It would say it detected the USB and the hub but hang after that. I tried compiling the kernel with both USB FULL HID support and the USB HIDBP Keyboard support. Both times i would get the same error while booting. I can use my PS2 board but i hate it. I'm using it right now actually. Well if anyone has any bright ideas to help me fix this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Did you compile in UHCI and Input Core support to your kernel? Do any other USB devices work?

I would have thought that i did but i should probably check to see if i have. I would be surprised if i hadn't. I don't use any other USB devices on my system because i don't particularly care for them too much, however, i'm too lazy/cheap to go buy a good PS/2 keyboard. Well thanks for the suggestion; i think i'll try that and see how it works. Thanks for the tip.
