OK so here's the issue i'm having. I installed gentoo using my USB keyboard but once i tried to boot into the actual system it would hand while initialized the USB. It would say it detected the USB and the hub but hang after that. I tried compiling the kernel with both USB FULL HID support and the USB HIDBP Keyboard support. Both times i would get the same error while booting. I can use my PS2 board but i hate it. I'm using it right now actually. Well if anyone has any bright ideas to help me fix this, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks. |

Did you compile in UHCI and Input Core support to your kernel? Do any other USB devices work?

I would have thought that i did but i should probably check to see if i have. I would be surprised if i hadn't. I don't use any other USB devices on my system because i don't particularly care for them too much, however, i'm too lazy/cheap to go buy a good PS/2 keyboard. Well thanks for the suggestion; i think i'll try that and see how it works. Thanks for the tip. |
