Hi,
I want to make a Fileserver for my movies and other files.
I want to put up to 6 harddisks in 2x3(RAID 5). I want to install Gentoo on it.
So it should be a cheap solution.
What kind of motherboard, processor and RAM would you recommmend?

Well, I've had good experiences with ASRock, it's more or less ASUSs cheap division.
I got the ASRock A7VM2 motherboard, it rocks, especially for that price, I bought it for 50euro's or so a while back. Works great with Linux.
I would take a cheap CPU, anything in the AMD Athlon XP 2000-2400+ range. They should be really cheap now, should cost between 50-70euro's.
I highly recommend installing gentoo itself on a seperate harddisk and not on the RAID system. Both for convenience sake, and performance.
I can't give you much advice on which RAID hardware to use. I can only tell you to avoid Promise hardware. People generally say 3Ware is good.
