EFI Stub Kernel

I've actually gotten my stub kernel to boot to the point the framebuffer starts - Noveau driver when it panics, prints the message switching to the text console, then hangs.

The kernel command line use the root=partuuid=

Can I add the nofb option to it (same as the install cd) or do I need to strip the framebuffer support completely from the kernel?

I'm thinking that once I get it to boot with a minimal kernel, that I can begin solving the additional issues so any input would be appreciated.

System Specs

Asus Z97Pro (Wifi a/c & bluetooth)
E3-1230v3 Xeon - 12GB Memory
GT640 Video Card
Kernel = Gentoo-Sources-3.18.9-r1

suggest putting your kernel config in a pastebin with wgetpaste
is a laptop with hybrid graphics involved?
