Hi,

I'm having problems emerging mm-sources, look:

Brain portage # emerge sys-kernel/mm-sources
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) sys-kernel/mm-sources-2.6.0_beta9-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) linux-2.6.0-test9.tar.bz2

!!! File is corrupt or incomplete. (Digests do not match)
>>> our recorded digest: 9ba35710debfe870241c7eb241c6c6d9
>>> your file's digest: 809abac2589e8bc16fee9bb535c55dbf
!!! File does not exist: /usr/portage/distfiles//2.6.0-test9-mm1.bz2

Checksum seems to fail, but i donwload that file (The patch) from many sources, all in kernel.org domain, and same error.

I can remake de digest file, but ... is there any problem with de ebuild or something?

Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. Looks like the wrong digest found its way into the ebuild. I guess the only solution is to rebuild the digests until the ebuild is corrected.

And how do we do that?
same problem here, emerge -f mm-sources didn't do the trick:

Code:

00:17:47 (74.34 KB/s) - `/usr/portage/distfiles/2.6.0-test9-mm1.bz2' saved [290411/290411]

!!! Fetched file: 2.6.0-test9-mm1.bz2 MD5 FAILED! Removing corrupt distfile...
>>> Downloading http://www.uk.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/akpm/patches/2.6/2.6.0-test9/2.6.0-test9-mm1/2.6.0-test9-mm1.bz2

(repeated..)

Like this:

Code:
Brain portage # cd sys-kernel/mm-sources/
Brain mm-sources # ls
ChangeLog  Manifest      mm-sources-2.6.0_beta7-r1.ebuild  mm-sources-2.6.0_beta9-r1.ebuild
files      metadata.xml  mm-sources-2.6.0_beta8-r1.ebuild
Brain mm-sources # rm Manifest
Brain mm-sources # ebuild mm-sources-2.6.0_beta9-r1.ebuild digest
>>> Generating digest file...
<<< linux-2.6.0-test9.tar.bz2
<<< 2.6.0-test9-mm1.bz2
>>> Generating manifest file...
<<< mm-sources-2.6.0_beta9-r1.ebuild
<<< mm-sources-2.6.0_beta8-r1.ebuild
<<< ChangeLog
<<< metadata.xml
<<< mm-sources-2.6.0_beta7-r1.ebuild
<<< files/wpadded.patch
<<< files/2.6.0-test5-mm4-devfsd-fix
<<< files/digest-mm-sources-2.6.0_beta7-r1
<<< files/digest-mm-sources-2.6.0_beta8-r1
<<< files/digest-mm-sources-2.6.0_beta9-r1
<<< files/test5.patch
>>> Computed message digests.

Brain mm-sources # emerge sys-kernel/mm-sources
Calculating dependencies ...done!
>>> emerge (1 of 1) sys-kernel/mm-sources-2.6.0_beta9-r1 to /
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) linux-2.6.0-test9.tar.bz2
>>> md5 src_uri ;-) 2.6.0-test9-mm1.bz2
>>> Unpacking source...
>>> Unpacking linux-2.6.0-test9.tar.bz2 to ...

I should work, but I just wanna be shure that this is a ebuild-related problem, MD5 is there for something ;-)

cool thanks, building kernel now :)
I even tried grabbing the file straight from kernel.org, but no luck. I give 99% percent to it being an ebuild-related problem.
