I just signed up for an account here on the forums, and saw that my password was displayed in plaintext on the email that gets sent during account activation. Why? What if I was sitting under a security camera and they recorded my password? I was sitting next to someone and they almost saw my password! And the email isn't even encrypted! Is this something that can be changed? |

I'd use a junk password for this site - just like any other site it's best to use something unique for each site. Chances are there's no real secure information on this site and thus have little value to hackers. The only reason it could be valuable is that the password matches another site... which would not be a good idea. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

While I agree with your statement, I still think it is wise to adhere to good security practices, whenever and wherever possible. And in this case, IIRC, it is just a simple setting that needs to be tweaked, so barrier to resolution should be near non-existent. |

I'm not best pleased about this either! It's a lucky thing that I use LastPass to look after all of my passwords.
Can this issue be fixed as quickly as possible.
Thanks. |
