Newbie here. I installed gentoo x64 on my pc via the handbook and i face this problem. Here is my kernel .config: https://bpaste.net/show/ff148a0b27fc

it's a good thing you added those but it would be better you add a clear "screenshot" of boot screen where the kernel hangs so that people here can look and see where the problem may be. |

guessing that you need to configure graphics support in menuconfig and then recompile, recopy kernel.

for further help pastebin the output of lspci -k and identify the video card driver you wish to use. (fglrx, radeon, nv, nvidia, intel, ????) _________________ Defund the FCC. |

I use nvidia.
