This is a problem with new Xorg
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-commit/2015-02/msg00390.html has a simple patch
https://freedesktop.org/patch/30241/ contains a more extensive patch and cites that more drivers are affected: i810, mga, savage, and tdfx
The last patch was reviewed by Keith Packard.
