|
I was searching for how to configure my X server and read that with the newer ones, I'm supposed to use:
Everything seemed to work. After I echo "exec icewm" > ~/.xinit.rc,I got IceWM to work! (First time without KDM).
Th problem is that my resolution is like 1024x768 or higher and I can hardly read anything, but I don't see the standared resolution setting in XF86Config file, hich is as follows:
Code: | Section "ServerLayout"
Identifier "XFree86 Configured"
Screen 0 "Screen0" 0 0
InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
InputDevice "Keyboard0" "CoreKeyboard"
EndSection
Section "Files"

I'm thinking it might have something to do with the "Screen" section towards the end, but no guesses and I can't find any references to changing to, say, 800x600 or whatever.
I was thinking of IcewmCC but not sure if that handls resolutions.
THanks in advance!

Just insert Code: | #
# modifications to file generated by 'XFree86 -configure'
#
Modes "1800x1440" "1600x1200" "1400x1050" "1280x1024" "1280x960" "1152x864" "1024x768" "800x600" "640x480"
#
| into any Display subsection of the Screen section (remove the resolutions you don't want). Myself, I only use "Depth 24". Have you searched the ATI supoort threads in the forum? |
