I have a minor question about the latest versions of KDE and GNOME. In both of these, the "save settings on exit" option that came up on signoff seems to have been removed. They both now seem to always save settings on exit, which isn't desirable. Is there any way to change this? Has this option possibly been moved? If so, I can't find it. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

Not sure about KDE, but for gnome there is an option in the desktop settings-->(?Advanced-->)Session section for this. Not sure about the advanced part - I am away from my pc so can't check. _________________ We used to have hominid cousins that were vegetarian. Yup...under Gnome 2.4 at least, it's under Desktop Preferences -> Advanced -> Sessions ^_^ |

Of course you can configure this in KDE too.
For KDE 3.2 snapshots:
Control Center -> KDE Components -> Session Manager
In KDE 3.1.x it should be at the same place, but I can't check this as I have no access to a KDE 3.1.x system right now. |
