|
|
I installed Gentoo 1.2 today from stage3 on my laptop. All went well with the network configuration from the installation side of things, but once I got past my grub issues (that had to do with the bzImage copy to an unmounted /boot) I am getting:
Quote: | * Loading module 3c59x...
* Failed to load 3c59x
* Loading module pcmcia...
* Failed to load pcmcia |
and further on:
Quote: | * Bringing eth0 up...
* Failed to bring eth0 up
* ERROR: Problem starting needed services.
* "netmount" was not started. |
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong with this? I recompiled the kernel a few times and followed all the directions a few times, but to know avail.
Thanks,
steve |

Try in the laptop forum for more information but try loading the pcmcia module before the network card module. _________________ What boots up must come down. |
