[SOLVED] Nemo file manager draws desktop black

When I start the nemo file manager, the desktop goes black, background image and conky are gone and right-clicking on the desktop opens the file manager's context menu instead of openbox' menu. This stays even after closing nemo, as the nemo-instance keeps on running, until I kill it.

Does anybody have an idea what could be causing this?

IIRC normal behaviour of nautilus and thus nemo, try starting with "--no-desktop" (or similar, don't remember, look at manpage or --help)

Thanks a lot. I was using nautilus until very recently and I didn't ever see the same behavior, I never used "--no-desktop" for nautilus either.

No clue what the difference between the two of them is today, haven't used them in a long time, but as long as it works and is fixed for you(is it?), good enough. Have a nice weekend and please mark thread solved if it is.
