|
|
Hi all,
havent touched this powerbook for a long time now and will do a new install next weekend.
Couple of things id like to ask first :
- IIRC newest mesa cannot be used on ppc with a radeon driver, what is the latest version that can be used ? 9.*?
- related to the above, have things improved regarding kms or is it still slow and buggy ?
- has this been sorted out ?
TIA ! |

Very interesting! At least for me as I plan to install Gentoo (Instead of LUbuntu) too on my Powerbook.
Do you plan to cross-compile? |

i have a box at home that is a beast compling and i have always setup distcc + crossdev for this task.
i think you can also use a chroot ( + qemu-user setup) and then just move it to the target system.
both have their pros and cons BTW, dont expect a smooth experience
