I upgraded to kernel 2.6.0 test 9 the gentoo version, but have also tried the vanilla one.
Somethying has gone pear shaped! When i try to install alsa-driver it complains that linux/modversions.h is missing. I can't rememeber what is suposed to create this so i tried remerging and recomoiling my kernel but to no avail  . Not having much luck this week |

| You don't have to emerge alas-driver with 2.6. The drivers are included with the kernel. Look under the sound options and pick the ones you need as modules. And look around the forums, there are many threads about alsa and 2.6. |
