I've got gimp 1.3.21 installed, and I cannot open jpg files. When I try and open them with the gimp, i get gimp wrote: | Opening 'halloween-022.jpg' failed:
Unknown file type | So I try and open it and specify the file type, but I cannot select JPEG support, because it is not there. Did the gimp drop jpeg support, or do I need a special plugin to access jpg files? If anyone knows, please post. I've tried googling, but no success, and it doesn't seem to say anything on their site. _________________ Ban Reality TV!

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

[ebuild N ] media-gfx/gimp-1.3.21 -doc +python -aalib +png +jpeg +tiff +gtkhtml +mmx +sse +X

You obviously haven't enabled jpeg USE-flag. |

Thanks. I've never had to enable jpeg support in my USE flags before in the development versions, so I didn't even think about it. Thanks. _________________ Ban Reality TV!
