samba and 2.6

Hello, i installed the kernel 2.6-test9-bk7, and i have problems with samba. I can access my samba shares but is really slow, i dont know why,if i use the 2.4 kernel everything works fine, im using samba-3.0, and i have the same configuration in the two kernels. Im misisng something? any help will be really apreciated.

I have also noticed that samba is very very slow, I am using 2.6-test6. I found this via a search because it is so slow Unfortunately I have nothing constructive to add at this time other then that I am experiencing it as well.
