I have a new USB drive that is running USB 3.0. I have tried using this with my PC with VT-d enabled and it doesn't work. Should this work?
With VT-d enabled I get:
[113781.101494] usb 4-2: reset SuperSpeed USB device number 9 using xhci_hcd
[113897.215433] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: ERROR Transfer event TRB DMA ptr not part of current TD ep_index 3 comp_code 1
[113897.215439] xhci_hcd 0000:00:14.0: Looking for event-dma 00000000fffc5000 trb-start 00000000fffc6e30 trb-end 00000000fffc7000 seg
But without there are not DMA errors
Cheers

you probably have to ask the hypervisor code maintainer about this if it works.
If you're not running a hypervisor, then this is either a kernel or hardware problem.
VT-d causes my machine to randomly hang, I ended up just not using it and eating the penalty. Oh well. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

I am not running a hypervisor. So would this be a bug then? |
