Hello,
I installed Mate on a new laptop (Lenovo Yoga 500).
If I press the volume keys (they are located on F1, F2 and F3, it is also the same with the lateral buttons), a small splash window appear and shows a loudspeaker logo and a volume bar, but the bar does not move and the sound volume does not change.
I use ALSA, not PA. Alsamixer works OK, "Mate volume control" works OK, the volume applet works OK, etc. but the keys do not. They are obviously linked to to some sound stuff because the loudspeaker splash windows appear, but there must be something missing afterwards.
With dconf-editor, I can see in org.mate.desktop.sound that default-mixer-device is an empty string and default-mixer-tracks is an empty array. I have no idea what they should/could contain (the magic of registries...:-/ ). I tried to put "alsamixer:default" as I saw it somewhere, the only effect was that the splash windows did not appear any more.
Anyone who has a similar setup, in working order or not?
