A little while back I manually installed some of the Alpha2 KDE packages that weren't in portage but the time is coming when I want to uninstall them, is there a simple way to do it like:

Usually you have to enter the directory with the source code of the installed packages and just run 'make uninstall'. If the directory that was used to compile the package was deleted and now you just unpacked the source again, then you have to run './configure' before 'make uninstall'.

I forgot to mention that packages that are installed manually, if you don't specify a prefix, they are installed in /usr/local/. Hope that helps! |
