I'm not sure what kind of OpenGL derivate i need on my system (Intel C2D Notebook)
At the moment, mesa (and many other packages) are compiled with EGL, GBM, and GLES2.
I understand that useflags and corresponding features are for embedded devices, so I masked this useflags to rebuild world without.
But since 'emerge world -avuND' wants to rebuild over 100 packages, I'm not sure if my assumption is right.
I have no discrete gfx, only the intel cpu with opengl support. So do i need EGL,GBM and GLES for hw accelerated OpenGL?

It sounds like you're installing Gnome? I saw all these USE flags showing up when trying to install Gnome... I just let them install with those USE flags, it seems to work just fine.
On my Core2 Duo with G965 chipset graphics (my i5 with onchip is similar):
media-plugins/grilo-plugins upnp-av tracker
media-libs/mesa gles2
media-libs/clutter egl
media-libs/cogl gles2
>=www-servers/apache-2.2.29 apache2_mpms_prefork

My desktop runs well...
Teamviewer needs some libs without egl/vaapi.
- x11-libs/libva-1.3.1 (Change USE: -egl)
- media-libs/mesa-11.0.0_rc1 (Change USE: -vaapi)
That's why I want to rebuild with proper opengl flags and only features I really need. |
