I've been running from this build of Mythtv 0.27 since it came into portage. However, during my usual round of updating when I now try to emerge the build it always fails.

I've tried:

Code:
revdep-rebuild
emerge -e mythtv

Nothing works. Any clues gratefully received.

Code:
`emerge -pqv '=media-tv/mythtv-0.27.5_p20150627::gentoo'`.

[ebuild   R   ] media-tv/mythtv-0.27.5_p20150627  USE="dvb hls perl python theora vorbis xml xvid -alsa (-altivec) -autostart -bluray -cec -crystalhd -debug -dvd -egl -fftw* -ieee1394 -jack -lcd -libass -lirc -pulseaudio -raop -vaapi -vdpau -wrapper* -xmltv" INPUT_DEVICES="-joystick"

 * IMPORTANT: 2 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
 * Use eselect news read to view new items.

`emerge --info '=media-tv/mythtv-0.27.5_p20150627::gentoo'`,

Thanks for your comment. What does that do? I'm assuming it's a compiler option?

Well I'm not sure what that does, but it works! Thank you! I would still appreciate an explanation. Thanks!

You are welcome. It is just a problem with mythtv code and gcc-4.9.x.
