Some time during the last halfdecade, KDE:s "File Already Exists" dialogue broke. To quote Andrew Love: Quote: | when you go to move/copy a file and it already exists in the destination, you get a dialogue pop up with a heading of "File already exists", it says in the dialogue "Source" and "Destination" with the respective paths underneath then underneath that a big expanse of nothing then below that some stuff including the Overwrite/Skip/Cancel buttons. | I found out that to make the dialogue show the basic information (source/destination file sizes and modification timestamps), one would have to install the infamous semantic desktop. I reluctantly enabled the nepomuk USE-flag for kdelibs and had a working dialogue again. But now that USE-flag is gone, ans so is the size/time information in the dialogue. I read somewhere that Nepumuk was replaced with baloo. It is apparently installed on my system, as is baloo-widgets and kfilemetadata, but the dialogue is still broken. What does it take to fix it again? |
