|
|
I'm getting a problem when I boot up my server:
No such file or dir while trying to open /dev/BOOT
The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2 filesystem.
(i think it also does the same thing for /dev/ROOT and /dev/SWAP)
I'm running ext2 for boot, and reiserfs for root.
I used genkernel to compile my kernel... and then copied:
/usr/src/linux/arch/i386/boot/bzImage
to /boot
My fstab the only thing i changed (from the original) was the name from ext3 to reiserfs.
Any ideas what i could be doing wrong? |

You didn't change /dev/BOOT, /dev/ROOT, and /dev/SWAP to the appropriate hdX in your fstab. You need to change them to something like /dev/hda1, /dev/hda2, /dev/hda3 etc., you should know what to change them to. If you don't you can use cfdisk to look it up. |
