I cannot install xorg-drivers on my RPi2B because omapfb fails. I tried emerge --resume --skipfirst, but no other drives will compile until this one does. Any ideas how to fix? Here is the build log on pastebin:

here's my emerge --info:

I only set about 5 or 6 use flag- the rest are pulled in my the profile, which is:
Code:
[31]  default/linux/arm/13.0/armv7a/desktop/kde

emerge system -kuva shows no packages out of date, and emerge -Duva shows just 6 or 7 packages from the xorg-drivers that need updating. I appreciate any suggestions!

edit: I also cannot emerge raspberrypi-userland- not sure if that's related. Pasted at http://pastebin.com/2w8Xe05D

Try the emerge but check the use flags and negate the one for omap or omapfb- I can't remember if it was a use flag or a video_cards flag. I fixed mine in /Etc/portage/make.conf.

Correct, raspberry doesn't have an omap chip, so you don't want it, and it probably requires some platform specific library to build against, which you don't have or something.

The correct setting for VIDEO_CARDS for rpi is VIDEO_CARDS="fbdev". If you want to be future-proof once we get fbturbo driver properly available in main tree (provides a slight performance benefit over fbdev) it could also be VIDEO_CARDS="fbdev fbturbo" - it'll just ignore the latter till it's not used by anything (such as the xorg-drivers meta-package).

In the future, once full upstream KMS support is there, you don't need anything (so VIDEO_CARDS="" or VIDEO_CARDS="modesetting", otherwise it defaults to stuff from your profile, like it did for omap from the arm profiles), as modesetting driver will be able to drive this (and that is shipped inside xorg-server package itself), and even get XRender acceleration via glamor. That's once all of that becomes mature and usable out of the box - http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/VC4/
Till then, you need (if you want to use Xorg instead of console or wayland/weston) fbdev or fbturbo to drive it on top of the semi-proprietary stack that is there in a mature way right now (the non-upstream kernels and possibly raspberrypi-userland package, etc)
