Not sure if anyone on here has seen this, but https://oss.oracle.com/projects/linux-sparc/
I don't have a whole lot of time to port these over for sun4v support, but if anyone else does i have machines we can test it on. This would make the gentoo sparc port current as far as the newer oracle machines are concerned. |

fwiw, I used this image to get a gentoo install bootstrapped in an LDOM since the livecd was not working for me. I was also having an issue getting genkernel to emerge due to a problem with the cpio ebuild, so I used the initrd it provides to get booted the first time. The kernel config provided also works as a good starting point for getting a modern 4.x kernel built for sparc |
