|
|
I've got an old Cobalt Cube 3, and I want to install Gentoo linux on it (I can't get the 'OS restore CD' t work).
There is no display, just a serial cable, an UW SCSI interface, and an ethernet port.
Does *anyone* have any experience with the Cube and/or *unusual* 'cross-over' ethernet installations?
TIA.

Well, you could try modifying the livecd (there's a thread about it somewhere), then you could add sshd and you nic to automatically start so you can log in using the nic and another computer.
Hope this'll help you,
