I updated my system but on reboot my network is gone. I didn't think I did anything to my hosts or networks file during etc-update but they look as though they're not set up anymore.
Which files to I need to edit in order to manually configure my box for a static IP address?
A little side question: why isn't that handy net-setup eth0 script included after the install? It would have been very useful just now.. |

The file to edit is /etc/conf.d/net. You might also need to (re)start the /etc/init.d/net.eth0 service. |

Thanks, that did it!
When I tried to stop /etc/init.d/net.eth0 it said that it hadn't been started. Starting it fixed my problem..
How can I get this to start by default? Is it
Code: | rc-update add net.eth0 default |
