Transmeta 5600 CPU

Hi everybody,
I just got an offer for a Laptop - with a Transmeat CPU.
It has Transmeta 5600 1 Ghz CPU , WLAN, 30 GB HDD, 256 MB RAM and a DVD/CDRW drive - and NO FANS.
It sells for about 800 Euros.

Has anybody some experience with this processor at all?
How well is it supported under Linux (since Linus worked there)?
How long will the batterie last?
