Hello,
I have a Sony Vaio PCG-GRX670 laptop with the following specs
http://www.superwarehouse.com/Sony_VAIO_GRX670_Pentium_4-M_2GHz_Laptop/PCGGRX670/ps/246226
Included on the onboard system is a Sony Ilink 1394 port. I have a 60 Gig external drive that I would like to install gentoo on. Now I know I can't boot from the firewire disk so I have a 250 meg boot partation on my internal hardisk that I will boot from.
When I put in the 1.4 version of the Live CD and do the following
gentoo acpi=on + dofirewire doscsi
The boot menu says that It finds the firewire hardware but I never get a disk mapped for the firewire drive.
And anyone point me in the right direction _________________ No Matter Where You Go, There You Are |
