Hi,
I have hybrid a AMD/Intel configuration:
https://bpaste.net/show/f79924e3e7bc
Both video drivers seem to load and the X starts on Intel with no problem. Here's the X log :
https://bpaste.net/show/799c82631de9
However when I try to use the Radeon chipset with xrandr and DRI_PRIME=1, even the glxgears
cause the system to freeze and I have to hard reboot my laptop:
xrandr --setprovideroffloadsink radeon Intel
DRI_PRIME=1 glxgears
Here's the DRI_PRIME=1 glxinfo :
https://bpaste.net/show/e25211ea4355
Please note I'm using -experimental kernel 4.4 but the same thing happens on stable 4.12 as well.
Here's output from dmesg.
https://bpaste.net/show/51bd38c72ff9
There is error :
"radeon 0000:0a:00.0: VCE init error (-22)"
but I don't think that's the problem as this chipset doesn't support VCE anyway.
Please let me know how I could solve this and make Radeon to work or whether you require more logs.
Thanks |

After disabling GDM service, X only crashed (instead of complete system freeze). and I can start it again.
