Good afternoon all! Hopefully this s in the right place. I'm having issues wth my sound. I installed pulseaudio through the wiki, and my sound card is recognized, but I have no sound. Hopefully someone has an idea on what direction I can go in>
Code: | # lspci -k
00:01.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] BeaverCreek HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 6500D and 6400G-6600G series]
Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company BeaverCreek HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 6500D and 6400G-6600G series]
Kernel driver in use: snd_hda_intel |
Not sure where else to go, I can adjust volume in audacious when I have settings/alsa output/pulseaudio selected, or just pulseaudio. |

Is the sound on your display (or whatever your HDMI is connected to) unmuted? |

HDMI isn't connected. This was also in question, will I only get sound out of my hdmi if it is connected? |

most commonly, you would also have another audio device besides the hdmi which would be the device you most likely wants |

Yeah I just can't seem to find the right kernel module for it:
Code: | # lspci | grep -i audio
00:01.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] BeaverCreek HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 6500D and 6400G-6600G series]
00:14.2 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] FCH Azalia Controller (rev 01) |
