Are you getting an error that initrd can't be found? What's in your grub.conf file? And have you checked your entry in grub.conf exactly matches what's in your /boot?

This is what i get:
Warning: unable to open an initial console
Kernel panic: No init found
Try passing init = option to the kernel

---

Please explain what i should match in /boot = grub.conf ???
The path to initrd is one of the things ive been testing.... (alot!)

Ive done one misstake under the install
In my /mnt directory i mistakenly run: cd & :-(
Cousing my /mnt* to be deleted!!!
So maybe something else happened when this occured?
Anyhow this i manually added to correct this.....

Anybody who can tell me exaktly what this does? (eg. "cd &" )
