Windows Software RAID Under Linux (and vice versa)

I was about to setup software RAID-5 on my system using three new harddrives when I suddenly realized a hitch: is it possible to access Windows LDM software RAID partitions under Linux or access Linux software RAID partitions under Windows? My plan was to split the capacity of the harddrives between Windows and Linux software RAID-5 with the possibility of accessing both under the other operating system. Is there any method of doing this? Specifically, does the LDM support in Linux allow access to the software RAID partitions from Windows? And are there any utilities to read Linux software RAID-5 partitions under Windows (with or without filesystem support)? Googling hasn't seemed to help me find many answers. Thanks a lot for any help you can offer.
