Hi, i have finished installing Gentoo. But there is a problem starting the eth0, when i boot i get this...
Code: |
* Failed to bring eth0 up [ !! ]
* ERROR: Problem starting needed services.
* "netmount" was not started.
|
( Well this isnt the only error on boot, it also cant load hotplug )
OK i went to the kernel menuconfig ( i did manualy compile it ). And i checked on the Network Device Support --> Ethernet (10 or 100Mbit) and the davicom has a * ( btw i have a CNet PRO200 ethernet network adapter, i think this is the right chipset ).
OK, now i just closed and did make dep && make clean bzImage modules modules_install
mounted the /boot
rebooted
ok still get the same thing....
I checked /etc/conf.d/net
Im sure thats all right
But what could be wrong and how too fix it
Please help, regards Desero.
