Hi community I've posted about this before and thought I'd fixed this but its back again and no matter what I try it just keeps happening.
I'm using KDE 4 and the bookmarks in dolphin keep on adding home, network, root and trash.
Now I've masked kdelibs-4.14.8 and I've got 4.14.16 installed as I thought this might fix the problem.
I've done this as well
Close dolphin
Delete ~/.local/share/user-places.xbel and ~/.local/share/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml
Edit ~/.kde4/share/apps/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml - take out all doubled entries.

And still when I restart it keeps on happening. Does anyone know how to fix this problem its driving me crazy.
Or am I better off just getting rid of kde 4 as obviously its buggy and installing another desktop.

Respectfully

Brett

Could you try dolphin-14.12.3, afaik the last available kde4-based release? Copying and renaming the existing dolphin ebuild into your local overlay should suffice.

Hi Genstorm I'll give it a try. Thanks for your time.
Are you using KDE by any chance? This bug is making me feel like going to Xfce or Mate

No problem like that on KDE4 or Plasma-5 installs here.

Actually I just remember, do you use homerun, by chance? https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=557134
...in which case I have no hope for a fix, it is neither part of an official release nor has it seen a commit in a very long time.

Hi Genstorm yes I do use home run.
As a matter of fact this started happening after I installed it.
I'll unmerge it and see what happens.
Thanks again mate...
