Hi, I noticed when I tried a LiveCD of Kubuntu on my computer
that I did get the battery status on my Mouse and Keyboard in the tray.
But I don't get it in my Gentoo installation,
Is there a specific package I don't have installed or a kernel option that is disabled ?

The energy Information in Kinfocenter does not work eahter, don't know if this is related.

Did you install Plasma via plasma-meta or plasma-desktop?

I used plasma-desktop

This is the packages that will be installed when I try plasma-meta:

Quote:
# emerge -pv plasma-meta

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild N ] kde-plasma/kgamma-5.5.4:5::gentoo USE="handbook -debug" 59 KiB
[ebuild N ] kde-plasma/ksshaskpass-5.5.4:5::gentoo USE="-debug" 21 KiB
[ebuild N ] kde-plasma/kwayland-integration-5.5.4:5::gentoo USE="-debug" 17 KiB
[ebuild N ] kde-plasma/plasma-meta-5.5.4:5::gentoo USE="bluetooth display-manager networkmanager pulseaudio sddm wallpapers -gtk -mediacenter -sdk" 0 KiB

Total: 4 packages (4 new), Size of downloads: 96 KiB

I solved the problem.

I used the wrong upower package.
switched from upower-pm-utils to upower.
