Hello, I just installed gentoo recently as a NAS machine and I'm trying to install zfsonlinux

I have followed the instructions in the wiki but when I try to create a zpool with RAIDZ1 with my 3 hard drives that does not have my /

Code:
# zpool create zfs_test raidz1 /dev/sda /dev/sdb /dev/sdc
zpool: libzfs_import.c:374: Assertion `nvlist_lookup_uint64(zhp->zpool_config, ZPOOL_CONFIG_POOL_GUID, &theguid) == 0' failed.
Aborted

and when I try

Code:

# zpool status
internal error: Success
Aborted

looks like a failure when you build the software?

which version did you build?

emerge --info

+ package version + useflag may be useful to others?

did you report it to bugs.gentoo.org?

have you choosen the correct set of useflags for those packages?

I tried re emerging and for some reason it was installing 0.6.5.4-r2

after recompiling genkernel and installing initramfs it works now and it's on 9999

I've experienced the same error and downgrading to 0.6.5.4 circumvented whatever the problem is.

Seems to have gone away in 0.6.5.6, available in bliss-overlay.
Thank you fearedbliss.
