Is there a reason why media-fonts/terminus-font gets installed to /usr/share/fonts/terminus and not /usr/share/fonts/misc, which is one of default font paths hardcoded into Xorg server?
It took me quite a while to find out why this font is detected without any configuration on Arch but not on Gentoo and how to fix it.
(On the bright side, now I know how X server looks for fonts.) |

/usr/share/fonts/misc isn't standard either, it's just hardcoded because that's the name of the font package that used to be bundled with X11R6. |
