KMenu pop up delay in kde5

So, the first thing I notice is that I click on the KMenu and it takes anywhere between 2-5 seconds to pop up. Is the menu delay configurable somewhere? Or is it just because its slow by implementation?

Both KMenu alternatives do this.

All other menus don't do this.

Haven't had time yet to try and fix the issue as it only happens on one test box, maybe some cache stuff...
