Missing RR4 linux liveDVD ( no matter which year ) Cannot find it online. Why?

Somebody released an unsupported Gentoo Live CD in 2007 or 2008 (minimal cd 2007.0) with reiser4 as an install choice.

Please help me find them..

Handy Danny

sysrescuecd should have all you need to create a reiserFS for a new install.

SystemRescueCD lets you install on ReiserFS, although I'm not a ReiserFS fan any more.

I am doing research on reiser4 and other similar file systems thus I need of people to see my help request.
Please don't put my ad in a dark old drawer: unsupported. Nobody reads it here except for admins.
(not so likely to help with this.)

Your question has been answered. The System Rescue CD has all the tools you need to a Gentoo install on ReiserFS.

I suggest you read the handbook.

RR4 Linux was a precursor to Sabayon Linux: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sabayon_Linux

Therefore, if you are looking for an ISO for that specifically, your best bet is to post in the Sabayon Linux Forums, not in the Gentoo Forums.

A lot of people (including me) actually like sysrescuecd for install. Please elaborate on your statement please?

System Rescue CD is Gentoo-based, up-to-date, light, runs nearly evereywhere, and provides all the needed tools to install a Gentoo system.

Thanks for pretending everyone else who reads and provides support in this forum doesn't exist.

Not after that remark, no. Lucky for you you got the correct answer twice.

Thank you all for helping me with the now very obvious NON choice of Gentoo as my future operating system.

handydanny,

You will do much better on any distro forum if you tell your problem rather than your perceived solution.

That's just inviting the "if I was going there, I wouldn't start from here" response.

That's OK. We do not sell Gentoo here, thus we do not care whether you run Gentoo or not. We are here to help those who need assistance with Gentoo.
