Greetings,
I have a x265 clip (1080p) that my rpi2 cannot play at all.
I want to convert it to x264, is there a way to do so and maintain the quality of the video?
I found this cmd for example, will that preserve the quality?
Code: | ffmpeg -i video-x265.mkv -bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb -sn -vcodec libx264 -c:a copy video-x264.mkv |
thanks. _________________ Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former - Albert Einstein |

Every time you re-code you lose something, the codecs are lossy. Even if you re-code it from x265 to x265 some fine details will be lost. |

the question is how much, will it still be 1080p? _________________ Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity and I'm not sure about the former - Albert Einstein |

This is up to you, you are the one who sets parameters for output. |
