Howdy. I have some video footage from a griefer show I played a couple of months back which was unfortunately ripped into a fairly budget MPEG stream. What I would like to do is run it through some cleanup filters along the lines of those offered by Virtualdub under Windows and then re-encode it back to MPEG and DIVX. I took a boot around but it seemed that most links to video projects (at least the top ones via google) were dead or not quite what I was looking for.
Anyone have any pointers to suitable tools for me? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
You can check out a griefer track if you are curious here:

Cinelerra will do it for you, except it's a professional program and is difficult to get to grasps with. Hollywood uses it in large Linux clusters to edit films I've heard
