|
|
i've been working quite dilligently to get postfix working in conjunction with getmail, spamassassin, and procmail. I got everything set up but now for some reason when getmail queries procmail its looking for spamassassin in /usr/local/bin/spamassassin. this is a problem because spamassassin is residing in /usr/bin/spamassassin. Obviously this doesn't take much to fix but i cannot find for the life of me what conf file is looking for spamassassin to ed it. Here's what getmail is spitting out.
Code: |
msg #1/3 : len 17265 ... retrieved ... failed delivering message (command "/usr/bin/procmail -d pogopope" exited 0 but wrote to stderr (/usr/local/bin/spamassassin: /usr/local/bin/spamassassin: No such file or directory
procmail: Error while writing to "/usr/local/bin/spamassassin"
procmail: Rescue of unfiltered data succeeded)), skipping
|
So my question is, what file is causing procmail to look for spamassassin in the wrong dir? |

I don't know how to call SA from anything but procmailrc. So I hope it's not too obvious of an answer but have you checked ~/.procmailrc or /etc/procmailrc? |

found the problem. though i had checked my /etc/procmailrc and ~/.procmailrc, I didn't notice that my ~/.procmailrc had a link to a config file in my squirrelmail dir, put there by a spamfilter plugin i was using along with squirrelmail. After looking into that file I found that it was the culprit referrencing /usr/local/bin/spamassassin. |
