|
|
I have installed gentoo running with systemd & kernel 4.4.6 and
profile: default/linux/amd64/13.0/desktop/gnome/systemd
on an Intel NUC 6i5SYH
I followed some of the guide: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Systemd/Installing_Gnome3_from_scratch
and installed twm.
It runs just fine.
Then I installed gnome 3.18
When running gdm the screen just flickers and no login is reached.
I am not exactly sure what the next step would be to get gnome running. Any ideas? |

Can you try with startx instead of gdm?
We'll see if the probleme is gdm. |

startx can start gnome just fine, so I guess it is something with gdm.
I've tried with the WaylandEnable=false, but that still doesn't help.
I do have wayland installed, but I don't know how to test if it is working.
I would like to have both Wayland and X as an option |
