can't log in via sqwebmail-- authdaemon error ....

I have installed qmail 1.03 + vpopmail 5.2 + sqwebmail 3.5.I can receive and send mail via outlook in win2k,but I can't use sqwebmail,when I login from sqwebmail, I found some info in /var/log/syslog as following:

Nov 11 23:55:14 gentoo sqwebmail: authdaemon: s_connect() failed: No such file or directory

or
maildircache:cache create failure - cannot change to bin

why ?
who can help to resolve this problem?Thanks
