|
|
I have app-emulation/wine in my package.accept_keywords because the only stable version of Wine in the Portage tree is 1.8.3. However, this causes frequent updates to Wine, which sometimes take a half hour to an hour to compile. For this reason, I'd like to keep Wine at the current version (1.9.17 as of writing) until a new stable version is released. I know I can change my package.accept_keywords like so:
Code: |
=app-emulation/wine-1.9.17
|
But I'm concerned that this would prevent me from getting the next stable version greater than 1.9.17.

So if wine-1.9.18 is made stable I will get it even though I have =wine-1.9.17 in my package.accept_keywords? It doesn't have to say >=wine-1.9.17? |

You can add atom without version
Code: | app-emulation/wine ~amd64 |

Well, yeah, that's what I have now. But I don't want to keep building every time a new minor version is released. |

BTW I do prefer "~" instead of "=" to get the -r1, r2 too. |
