Kde keeps loading and crashing and loading and crashing

I'm a bit of a noob so please bear with me. I aplogize if this issue was already solved but I just didn't find it.

I successfully installed Gentoo on my 'acer travelmate 8572t' with a stage3 tarball and a minimal install usb key and now I'm trying to install a desktop environment so that I can actually use it as well.

I switched my profile to plasma and emerged kde-plasma/plasma-meta then I added 'exec startkde' to .xinitrc.

Whenever I use the command startx, my plasma desktop loads and everything is fine for a couple of seconds and then the loading screen starts up again and loads the desktop and a few seconds later it all starts up again.

When I use ctrl+alt+f1 I see the message "Bluedevil: ObexManager operational turned false" over and over.

Is my bluetooth messing with kde? I tried emerging without the bluetooth use flag and it still does the same thing.

dbus and consolekit should be up, I am at uni atm so I can't check.

I specifically started dbus and consolekit before startx this time but the same behaviour persists.

Ive been googleing like crazy but I cant find a solution to my problem, does anybody have any ideas?
