[SOLVED] Gnome mouse click not working in virtualbox

Hi, I've never come across this before and can't see to find anything that matches anywhere. I have a Gentoo VM that works great except for all mouse clicks within Gnome3. Mouse works as expected in GDM so I assume my setup is correct. I'm running a Windows 7 host and the guest kernel is 4.8.X. Has anyone come up against this? I'm happy to provide more info if needed.

*edit* Even after an emerge -ev world it still wouldn't work. A clean install of Gentoo worked.
