|
|
I've downloaded this iso: Code: | http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu/experimental/x86/livecd/livecd-2.6_11-05-2003.iso | and burned it to a CD, but it won't boot. Not so strange when I list the root of the cd: Code: | bin
boot
dev
etc
home
isolinux
lib
mnt
opt
proc
root
sbin
tmp
usr
var
install.txt |
'install.txt' just shows a lot of garbage opening it up in notepad, like it's a compiled file or something. It's at least not just a normal txt file..
How do I boot this thing? Or how am I supposed to use this disc? |

You are out of luck then, thats why i don't like to tinker with uncertain/experiemntal install cds, just install from 1.4 livecd, there isn't much of a difference. Besides the new 2.6 livecd has scsi detection/other problems so you should just wait until those get resolved. |

It's strange. The CD boots just fine on my desktop system, but not on my laptop |
