I really hope that I can soon post in the thread about laptops which are working fully. A few more things to go though.

One problem that I do have right now is getting my USB Harddrive to work. I've followed a couple of guides on these forums but I still cannot get it to work. I also tried to format the USB harddrive, it worked, but the system will still not recognize the USB drive all the time.

Some of the symptoms are:

1. The USB harddrive will sometimes recognize on the system, but it won't recognize almost 95% of the time.
2. When I issue 'dmesg' the USB information comes up as this:

Code:

hub.c: new USB device 00:1d.2-1, assigned address 2
scsi1 : SCSI emulation for USB Mass Storage devices
Vendor: Fujifilm  Model: USB Drive         Rev: 3.04
Type:   Direct-Access                      ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Attached scsi removable disk sda at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
sda : READ CAPACITY failed.
sda : status = 1, message = 00, host = 0, driver = 08
Current sd00:00: sns = 70  6
ASC=3a ASCQ= 0
Raw sense data:0x70 0x00 0x06 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0a 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x3a 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
sda : block size assumed to be 512 bytes, disk size 1GB.
 /dev/scsi/host1/bus0/target0/lun0: I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0
 I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0
 unable to read partition table

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
